The landowners of the Good Shepherd Ranch are seeking impact investment partners and land and energy developers interested in creating sustainable development solutions on their 960-acre property located at the south end of the Uncompaghre Plateau, just north of the scenic San Juan volcanic mountain range.  The acreage has been in the family for 3 generations and retains full mineral rights originally patented with the land.

The current landowners are interested in pursuing sustainable development within the property that will also help meet the needs of the surrounding communities of Telluride, Ridgway, Ouray, and Montrose. There is a high demand for sustainable housing, locally sourced food production, and a need to provide year-round rural mountain employment opportunities.

This large acreage parcel holds the potential for many serious renewable energy platforms to conduct research and development while coexisting with other regional solution components on this privately held 960-acre ranch. The vast amount of acreage ensures a buffer between developers, adjacent properties and surrounding natural resources.

The natural land contours, along with aspen and pinion groves, buffer the north and east perimeter of the property, aesthetically screening onsite development while retaining incredible views of the scenic San Juan range to the south.

The land is primarily open pasture, ideally suited for clean renewable energy development, greenhouse food production, sustainable living, and environmental health research in a premier mountain environment.
